Gourmet pizza place just opened, the menu clearly lists any potential allergy items for all items, including.... Drumroll.....SOY!!!!!!
Yep, has, gluten, milk, peanuts and Soy!!!!

A place that I could go and have gluten and soy free meal - without having to hand over chef card or go into long explainations.

Obviously there is still risk of contamination.
Regardless, I did not think I would see such a thing in my lifetime....

Also makes you realise how much demand there is for soy free items....
(Or the place is owned/run by someone with multiple intolrences)

I don't feel such an alien!!!

Hey, on a side note, I got my 23 and me results back and just yesterday ran them through promethease and geneticgenie. I am going through a breast cancer scare as I'm waiting on MRI results. Possibly not a good time to be looking at this info! Wow is it overwhelming! I have a lot of studying to do on how to read the Promethease reports. Interesting methylation report also. Colon CA, Breast CA, and Crohn's were the big ones. But like I said...I need to research more (maybe at another time) :cool:

Oh mast cell issues came up too! No surprise here except now I feel confident in trying an antihistimine.

Dear Gabes- fantastic news about the new pizza place! Still have problems eating out. Not one waitress has taken my chefs card back to kitchen. Went to longhorn steakhouse and asked for gluten free menu. It also had all food allergy chart. Every steak but one had soy. Even salads had soy in them? Why? So did well with pork chops and baked potato. Learning alot. I will no longer eat at a.restaurant unless they have a special gluten free menu. When stuck going to one , only order a drink. May more restaurants join the bandwagon. Sandy

I avoid eating out as much as possible.... Maybe 1-3 times a year since Dx.

To have the menu mention the soy items shows how many others are avoiding soy...... 5 years ago i felt like I was one of the only ones....

Life with multiple intolerences is getting easier.....

You can the review things when you have the energy xo

Don't spend too much time on the promethease medical conditions... If you are following MC type eating plan, you have minimised the risks of those issues big time....

Hi, Gabes. That is great news! Pizza is one food that I miss.I really didn't miss eating out while my husband was away. We normally only eat out on the weekend, but I would much rather eat at home. His parents ate out all of the time and unfortunately he has that gene. Have a good week!
