have faith, once i got my gut healed, and fixed major deficiencies (linked to thyroid, pcos, adrenal fatigue, clearing excess toxins/metals etc)... healthy weight loss has been happening easily...
fixing the major deficiencies etc also helped me to have more energy to be more active which has helped me to be more physical (gardening work) and get some good strength and stamina for the first time in 8-9 years.
be patient, it will happen when all the right elements are in the right stage..... keep on your health low inflammation eating plan, listen to your body and when the time is right implement the right supplements....

Thanks, Gabes. You have overcome more than your share of challenges. You are an inspiration. I have been challenged with lower energy since my downward spiral and diagnosis the last several months. But things are slowly improving. I'm moving steadily toward healing, but it is more like 2 steps forward, 1 step back. I will have to practice my patience! Thanks for the reply!

I am chipping away at them!! Figuring out methylation issues has made a huge difference....
the past 5 years or more has been 2 steps forward, 1 step back .... something I have come to peace with.

a good motto is, its about progress not perfection.....
Stick with what works, I have continued basics like home made bone broth, bland easy to digest meals, not introducing too many new ingredients.

I still haven't wrapped my head around the topic of methylation as it relates to MC. I will need to re-read and further research that! I finished Tex's MC book front to back. Need to look at it again. I've just started on his Vit D book this week.
I agree...Progress, not perfection.

The jury is still out of course (there's no published research that applies directly to this), but it's difficult to guess whether/to-what-degree compromised methylation processes might affect MC directly. Inadequate methylation can weaken the immune system, but that doesn't mean that the influence is sufficient to increase the risk of developing MC.
One thing is for sure — compromised methylation can (and often does) cause secondary problems in the form of neurological issues due to altered autonomic nervous system performance, and this probably applies to all AI diseases.
