The bee's are out
It's so warm here in Texas compared to what it should be...that we have bee's. I have a tub that I throw aluminum cans in and one for cans I can't cash in. We recycle...anyway...there are bee's all over the place. We burn our trash here in the country...but can't burn because of the burn ban. I went to let Buck and Jasmine in and the bee's chased them right into the house......I usually leave them alone and shooo them outside...but these bee's would not shooo. Reminds me of a time when I was working in Louisianna in construction. I was in the field checking safety equipment and it was probably 4o degree's. I had on 4 layers of clothes , hard hat, steel toe boots, carhart coat, leather gloves and safety glasses. All of a sudden out of nowhere a bee flew in my hard har, one in my safety glasses, and one down the fron of my shirt if you can beleive it. I am allergic to the point that I go to the hospital in shock....I threw the meter I was using...threw off my hard hat...shucked as many clothes as I could and threww safety glasses on the ground. I got down to a T shirt , jeans, and boots and stopped to look around and there were 8 guys watching me. I realized The bee's were gone now and I didn't get stung. Came real close to exposing all of me to everyone. Kinda of funny now. Love Oma
Oma,
Altough that's a funny story now, it sounds like it was very scary at the time!
I've only been stung twice in my life, once when I was really little and very curious so I just grabbed a bumble bee off a flower, and once by a mud wasp when I was older. It is true that if a mud wasp stings you applying a mud pack will draw out the stinger and ease the pain.
I'll bet them 8 construction workers were hoping you would strip to nothin' so they could get a free show
Love
Peg
