Cronometer

Post by nerdhume »

I had been wondering about nutrition suffering with my restricted diet.
The tools on this site are amazing, it also links to phone or tablet.
I was amazed to see with my meager breakfast and lunch I am already well on the way to having 100% of most nutrients, without considering the supplements I take.

Theresa,

I recently discovered Cronometer also. I used to use Fitday but I like Cronometer better, more complete, easier to navigate and it syncs to my phone. I use it to track nutrients, both macro and micro.

I think it gives a lot more info than fitday. I paid for a month of 'gold' just to see how I liked it.

Donna,
I love the gold. There are more detailed charts of the different vitamins and minerals rather than the advertisements. For me it's worth the $5.99 per month. It makes it very easy to see which foods add to nutrition and which foods are just junk.

Thanks for the link to Chronometer, Theresa! I have used FitDay in the past, but not recently. I've signed up for the free Chronometer this weekend. I had the same questions about what my nutrition is with my limited diet these days (in another flare right now) and was pleasantly surprised that I was at or near 100% on most values. I see that Chronometer provides a larger list of nutrient values than FitDay. Easier to update, too. I will probably go with the Gold membership soon. I am going to use it to help with weight loss as well, using the LC Ketogenic or Paleo targets built in to the app. Thanks again!

Donna,
In the online version there is a gear icon to the right of 'Calories Summary'. It has a dropdown with several different plans, or you can create your own.
