I see that the valcano is still errupting and is expected to continue over the next few days or even week.

Hope you are staying inside away from the ash!

Mars,

I almost didn't see your post! We are about 180 miles from Augustine so if it blows an ash plume and the wind is just right it could bring it over and on us. I'm more concerned for the close communities to the mountain.

In 1993, Mt. Spurr erupted- we are like 70 miles from that and we got LOTS of ash here. It was a mess for months to clean up.

Article about the eruption in our paper yesterday. Said the airport had to be closed. Hope there are no big eruptions or even worse, an earthquake. Take care.
