Partial results-thanks for listening

Post by Erica P-G »

Hi Everyone..
Just checking in to share my progress so far.

I'm optimistic, at least my Dr. is working with me so I'm in high hopes that by the end of this year I will start seeing some remission of this LC finally after 8 years.

VitD was 43 (Dr. said he'd like to see that between 50-80)
Folate was 27 (Dr. said that wasn't bad considering my condition)

Genova results says I have a gut immunology of IgE mediated inflammation and the calprotectin was way high off the charts (no surprise there). I had absolutely NO reading for lactobacillus in my gut  and the n-Butyrate (absorption level) was 4.8 Dr. said that is starting to get close to the red zone and we want to work on getting that fixed and healed soon. So onto the next step and that is the Combo panel of E95 and A95 for food sensitivities, which my Dr. feels there is an pretty strong intolerance to something(s) so I wait a couple weeks maybe less now and hopefully something useful shows up. If for some reason I am not happy with those results he said he will order an Enterolab kit for me and we will definitely start a 6mo Budesonide protocol. (at least this Dr. is willing to go the extra mile for me, I'm quite happy).

I have just ordered my VitD with K2, and a Pharmaceutical grade probiotic, and a Whole Food Essential Vitamin pack. Plus I will eventually add a calcium/mag to all that at some point. I am excited to begin this new healing process, can't wait for the food sensitivity test to come back. It's been an incredibly long journey of not feeling well. Can't believe in one month I am at a place of some progress in this disease.

Thanks for listening and just being here...I'm not sure I would have taken the plunge to do what I have done here recently without the hope this site has given me. :flowersmiley:
