Changes in body temperature
I was wondering does anyone else have something that resembles hot flashes but isn't, if they are reacting to something? I find myself becoming very hot and then cold. I have had many thyroid tests over the years too and am now becoming suspicious as to their sensitivity.
Welcome to the club, Greengoddess!
But these hot flashes last so short, that I don't have the time to run for my thermometer. Maybe it isn't fever at all? However, I must admit, that the flashes have become more and more rare as my healing has progressed.
I'm not sure if it is an allergic reaction, or something to do with the bloodsugar, or the thyroid.
Maybe Tex has an idea?

Yet another mystery to solve! One of the worrying things about this MC is the the many different sitcoms that emerge. One goes and another appears. The forum helps such a lot because I can now actually tell the difference between gluten reactions in the gut ( quiet at this point) and what appear to be allergic reactions to other things.
I'm not sure if I actually experienced any hot flashes due to MC alone, because I also had diverticulitis much of the time and I suspect that it may have been causing that symptom.
They might possibly be hormonal, but obviously they shouldn't be so brief if they're caused by hormonal fluctuations.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Greengoddess,
These hot flashes would usually come after having eaten something high in sugar, or after a heavy meal. Because I ate very little, it might be that my blood sugar rised quickly and caused the flashes when I had a full meal.
I can still have them. It's like just before you are going to faint, instead all blood rises to the head and the head feels like explosing and tingling, and your face gets wet from sweat.
Wow, my English gets poor when I'm tired. Bear with me :-)
