We all know the feeling; you have to go to the toilet to pee. Impossisble to disregard. And when you get there, you have to pressure. One pressure = 20 drops. Then it stops. You pressure once more = 20 drops, and so on. You sit there for several minutes before you feel empty.
How come urine doesn't behave like it used to do? Back in the good old days you wanted to go; and it all came in one flush.
I have a hunch that I have less inflammation in my body than I used to have, like two years ago. But still, I have to make an effort to pee...
I have had ultrasound of the urine system, and all the tests one can imagine. Everything is normal.
Do we suddenly have a lazy bladder at a certain age (60+) , or is this a sign that not everything is in place MC-wise?

Hi Lilia,
It's a common symptom with active MC, but it can also occur with other forms of inflammation. For example, I've been having that symptom during the past few days associated with an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. And I had that symptom each time when I passed a kidney stone last fall.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thank you Tex!
Always learning new things about MC.
I have started taking Zyrtec, 1 tablet in the morning, and 1 tablet in the evening.
And the only thing I've noticed is that I don't have a stuffy nose any more. I always had green mucus in my handkerchief, but that is now history.

Lilia,
I forgot to mention — that symptom can also be caused by a magnesium deficiency.
You're very welcome,
Tex
