My pain ( when i have it) is usually pretty low also... mostly on the right side and is "hard" to the touch. But when I went to my Gyno on my last visit, she felt a "hardness" more towards the center and it turned out to be a fibroid. Since it's not really bothering me, we are just keeping an eye on it.

And the pain is back again! I have been pooping a lot (8-9 times a day) but it is generally pretty formed (BSC 5 sometimes 6). I have had to take pain killers today and at the moment I am also feeling nauseous. The pain is always RHS but today it is higher and is in the place that is always the worst.
I have been under a lot of stress lately - my brother is recovering from prostate cancer surgery and my Aunt died. I am trying to be supportive of my parents (it was my Mum's sister) and I know that the stress of the last few weeks is what is causing my symptoms. Not much fun though.

If you ever feel too insignificant to be noticed, you have never been to bed with a mosquito!
Anne,
I'm sorry to hear that you lost your aunt, and that your brother's cancer surgery is compounding the stress. Stress can affect us in different ways, and apparently pain in that area is the main symptom in your case. I hope that it will let up soon.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I get pain (achey) in my lower left flank under the kidney. Does anyone experience fluttering in the left or right back just a little? Every once in a while I feel a little fluttering but its not like gas or anything. Just curious.

Anne,
Stress is making everything worse, but there is no way we can avoid stress like the one you mentioned. I do hope you will feel better soon!
Jan,
Yes, I get the fluttering in my lower back, to the right and the left side of the spine. In my case I do think it is caused by gas in certain parts of my intestines because I usually get it when I can also feel the intestines moving in the front.
Love, Patricia
