Thankfully, some trends in society are good ones.
Not so long ago, turkey was a Holiday treat. Now it's available year-round as whole birds, breasts, parts, ground, sausage, and burgers.
Not so long ago, coconut products were scarce. Now they are everywhere as refrigerated milk alternatives, canned coconut milk, canned and boxed coconut water, and coconut flour. Note: Watch out for coconut flour, it's very high fiber.
Not so long ago, gluten-free products were a rare find. I'm finding excellent things now that specify that they are gluten-free.
Not so long ago, sweet potatoes and winter squash was seasonal. Not now!
Not so long ago, food labeling was far less specific. Now I have much more information about what I'm eating.
