Need Help with Food to eat for Vegan
I've done ok the last two days but I've only been drinking a pharmaceutical grade pea protein powder for two days twice a day, eating bananas, had soy yogurt with blueberries this morning, tablespoon of Almond butter and a Cascadian Farm Organic Protein Honey Roasted Nut bar. It's lunch time and I'm sipping my shake at work. I picked up veggie sushi from the cafeteria then though better of it...it's sitting in the fridge downstairs in our bldg...will donate it to another vegan I work with. Last night for dinner I had some baked french fries with little ketchup and two small non-chicken slider (soy) without roll with homemade fermented sauerkraut on top and a pickle last night. I think I'm being a bit naive about what I can and can't eat but I'm just stuck to know what to eat as my normal diet of Veggies is not ideal for my Vegan diet... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
Blessings,
Graceful
PS...how do you ad a picture? I've tried to shrink mine down to the required size but it still says it's over the 5kg?

I don't have any diet suggestions, since I'm not a vegan, but if you will attach your avatar image file to an email and send it to me, I'll be happy to convert it into an avatar and upload it for you. Please send an image file that has not been shrunk though, because if the file downsizing is not done properly, it will not display well. It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Reaction to Naked Mango Juice
Added a Mango "Naked" brand juice to my protein powder this morning and within a 1/2 hour was in the bathroom. My stomach is not feeling great...I have used the Blue Machine and Green Machine one with no reaction so this is my first reaction which is good I guess. The ingredients in Mango Nakes is 1 1/4 Mango, 1/2 Oranges, 1 3/4 Apples, 1/3 banana. Blue Machine shares the apple and banana and Green Machine shares the Mango, Apple and banana...so from a process of elimination that would leave the Orange as the culprit. twisted:
My guess would be the oranges. Most of us can't handle much citric acid while we are recovering. It sends us straight to the bathroom (and sours our stomach). Mango contains a smaller amount of citric acid than most citrus fruits, but oranges contain a significant amount.
The fructose (sugar) in fruits can also be a problem if we get too much of it, because we are unable to properly digest very much of it while our gut is inflamed.
