Questran use

Post by jeanmgl »

Just wondering if anyone else has been prescribed Questran. I am now having the opposite effect -- constipation -- on this med. I really don't know what to do.

Hi Jean,

Welcome to the discussion board. I've never used Questran, but quite a few other members here have. When any bile acid sequestrant begins to cause constipation, it's time to either lower the dose or stop using it, depending on circumstances.

Again, welcome aboard, and please feel free to ask anything.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
