It would be eady enough to take it at lunch time. Then it wouldn't interfere with my supper time supplement. It gets to be quite a process to figure out the timing for taking meds! During the summer I'm at work around 5am so it's been a pain trying to fit in eating. Since I'm up at 4 and don't get a break until 9am, it's too long of a stretch to wsit for breakfast. i'd never make it. I'm usually not hungry that early but have to eat something before I go in because I take all my thyroid meds at 7am so I can eat at break. I've been taking the magnesium, proferrin, vit D, and a B12 at dinner time so it doesn't interfere with thyroid meds. It's a shame we have to eat.
I'm actually quite proud of myself that I've been able to pull off working this early. It was one of my concerns when I quit my office job with the bathroom safely located down the hall. The warehouse is big by comparison and there are only two bathrooms with many steps to get there. It does cause me distress thinking about coordinating my morning bathroom visits since I don't have enough time to fit them all in before I leave but I loce what I do now so I just deal with it.
I haven't had DHEA tested. Which doctor would take care of that? GI, PCP?

Hi Deb,
It is great you are loving your job!
In regards to your question about which doc it is hard to say. Try whichever doc comes up first in your appmt schedules. I'd probably keep it simple print a copy of Tex's UC study and mention you have refractory MC would like to test your DHEA levels. You might also mention you are concerned about your DHEA levels since you've been on Entocort for awhile and can't get off of it.
I don't think I'd mention fatigue as reason for DHEA test. Anytime I brought up fatigue with various docs I got a lot of platitudes.....take a vacation....it takes several years to build back your stores....etc.
My DHEA was tested by gyn PA but only after I wrote a 2 page letter requesting a second opinion from someone in town for hormonal issues. I knew something was seriously off.
