So what is the best kind of cookware? Is there a set that you bought somewhere that you've had good luck with?

As I am in Australia, not sure I could comment on brands type to suit USA market.

Hopefully tex or the other USA members will reply.

I am in a shred kitchen, I have seperate cleaning/washing cloths brushes etc for my cookware, etc.

I'm not a connoisseur of fine cookware, but most non-stick surfaces are somewhat porous (and subject to hazing or other surface breakdowns), so IMO stainless steel or cast iron are safer choices. Cast iron must be properly prepped before using, and it's slower to heat up when using, but it offers the advantage of adding a safe supply of iron supplement to the diet.

Non-stick surfaced utensils can certainly be used (provided that no one uses them with gluten-containing foods), but they have a relatively short useful life in most applications, when compared with stainless or cast iron.

I just purchased a ceramic pan to fry my hashbrowns in and use solely for me. I love it. It's very easy clean up!

Hi Gabes,

Yes and no. I actually felt worse doing this diet. I figured out that I was eating too much fiber. I cut back on the fruit and vegetables and am eating more carbs. That is helping. I have been testing out some of the foods I reacted to on the blood test and I actually feel better since reintroducing them which is kinda weird? Lol but it's working for me.

I also have started exercising again for stress relief. Taking it one day at a time. Stress is a big factor for me.

Thanks for asking, hope all is well.

the diet changes will have impact, it will take a while for your body to adjust. it is like a major detox...
all the gluten antibodies etc are coming out of your body and being passed through the waste system
minimal fibre is definately the way to go

try to eat lots of animal protein, and keep things bland, not too many ingredients each meal for a few weeks as you go through the 'detox' stage and start healing

as we discussed in other posts, the result of allergy blood tests are not always reliable. Listening to your body is the most accurate indicator.

The time and energy you are applying to this is worth it! it will give you the foundation of your eating plan for LIFE! A life with wellness and minimal symptoms.
(yep... it sucks that it is a rough process but hang in there)

Dear Members
Has anyone tried Bentonite Clay.It is a bulking agent to firm up stool. This would be a good thing for M.C. if it is really effective.
I found it on Jinis Gut Guide, she offers solutions to a healthier gut.Jini Patel Thompson,I am curious what members or Tex and Gabe think.
Thank you

Bentonite clay is what foundry workers use for making molds. It's simply a fine-textured sand that when moistened, holds it's shape well. I'm not sure why some people like to eat dirt, but I have never craved it myself. so I can't tell you how well it works.

if you gut is inflamed then bulking up the stool is not a good idea as the body will struggle to pass the motion (ie constipation) and this will cause more inflammation, and other issues such as haemorrhoids etc

as per my reply to the other post where you ask about Betonite - I used Diatomaceous earth - not for bulking stool but to help clear toxins/metals
when I was using it, I had to increase water intake AND coconut oil intake to minimise Constipation issues.
