Hi Connie,

Unfortunately, organization web sites come and go, but there are many other ways to get a card. One way is to join the Medic Alert Foundation:

http://www.medicalert.org/services/ever ... allet-card

But many prefer to just create and print a card themselves by using an online form, without having to join any organization. Here's one, for example:

https://www.medicalinfoproducts.com/fre ... t-card.php

Here's another:

http://www.my-healthkey.com/card.htm

and another:

https://www.hopepaige.com/medicalidform ... -card.aspx

Here's one specifically for diabetes information and emergencies:

Here's a slightly different format that some people might prefer:

The law for the Medical Bathroom Card has only passed in a handful of states. Not in mine . If I have to take time to beg someone I need to go it'll be to late!! I just don't leave the house much,, until I get a handle on this , I'm new :-)

That's definitely a good idea.

Can The CARD Still be obtained?

Post by TREESE »

It's been a few Years since this Info Link for the FREE Medical Card was Posted, but I just came across it today, and clicked on the LINK, but the Webpage could not be found.

I did find the Website itself by doing my Own Search, copying and pasting the Link Info, but no info presented itself on the CARD.

Is there still such a thing and how can I obtain one, please? Thanks!

Hi Treese,

If you will look down toward the bottom of any page on this discussion board, just below where it says, "Remove cookies set by this forum", you will see a picture of an emergency ID card. You can click on that picture, or the text below it that says, "Print Your Own Free Emergency Medical ID Wallet Card Here", and the system will open a window in your browser where you can fill out a form with the information that you want to appear on the card, and then you can print your own card (on your own printer).

Medical Card Form - Thanks!

Post by TREESE »

Thanks, Tex! I found the correct place...

Once I get my EnteroLab Tests done, I'll see what Info might be good to put on the CARD, and then Print it out. So far, still waiting for the KIT. Tomorrow will be a week since I ordered it.

Indirectly related to CC: Car Accident yesterday... sheesh!! Thankfully, no injuries. The man who backed into my car with his SUV totally smashed-in my driver's side door... and while I was in the driver's seat, too.... whatta mess! My stomach felt the stress quite sharply all day today. No D but threatening throughout. Seems like when it rains it pours, doesn't it?!

Sending my Best to All of the Forum Members!

The kit should have arrived by now.

That's unfortunate that someone damaged your car, but definitely lucky that you weren't hurt. It's a wonder that the accident didn't trigger a flare.

You're certainly right — with MC, if it rains, it usually pours.

I'm glad you weren't hurt (and glad that you didn't have an MC flare).

It took a little over a week for my kit to get to me in Colorado.
