Sore in inside of my ear?

Post by jlbattin »

Ok, I know this disease seems to have no boundaries, but I have a sore inside my right ear, and the only thing I can attribute it to is MC. I'm thinking toxins coming out or something? I am going to see my MD on Tuesday about my blood pressure medicine so I'll have him check, but this is just weird. In the past couple of days, I've had a weird right side pain that I've never had before and this sore inside my right ear. Anyone have random weird things happen occasionally? I thought things were pretty even Steven for awhile..........guess not!

I've been having weird happenings also...like small lesions on the back of my ears that seep. That went on for a couple weeks, I finally applied some hydrocortisone on it and in a couple days it healed up.

I just posted on my ongoing post about a reaction to Soy yesterday....welts on my buttocks of all places. They are tapering down after 24 hours but geez louise. The histamine thing seems to go in overdrive at times. I am sure it is toxin issues too.

Take care

Yes I've had those. I'm my case they were a form of psoriasis or eczema. I put some cream on and try not to touch.
The good old right sided pain is experienced by a lot of people here. Always an idea to check it out all the same. I've had numerous scans for gall bladder all of which were negative.

Hi,

My MC is so much better, but I have lately had some terrible itching in my ears, deep inside the ears.

Googling it, I find that it may be related to psoriasis, which I have (symptom free in 2014 after changing my diet).

This is of course not a serious problem at all, but very annoying.

Does anyone else experience ear itching?

Lilja

PS: In January I tried to make an appointment at a functional medicine center, and had to answer 40 questions online before being able to have an appointment. I got angry, and quit trying because the questions were so detailed and you could not use your own words but had to tick boxes. However, one of the questions were "do you experience ear itching". Of course, I don't know why they asked and I will never know, but I guess they have a reason for asking. (I sent them an e-mail and complained that this is not a decent way to treat sick people by imposing them to answer 40 questions, what about older people who are not trained in the computer world, etc, but they never answered).

I have had ear itching in the past. It went on for some time but then I made sure that I completely dried inside my ears after I had a shower and the itching was resolved.

I have had random things happening for years, majority of which happened before the MC dx and my diet and lifestyle changes

Jari, my suggestion is to use coconut oil on it

another possible link is dental issues / niggles? (my ears always have issues when I am dealing with dental stuff)

Lilja
itchy ears has been an issue for me this summer, i was blaming the humidity. i have been using coconut oil so if it is bacteria related the coconut oil should resolve it.

of interest Lilja, my nutrient bible text book says that auditory dysfunction is linked to deficiency of L Histidine (which is the precurser to histamine)
WHAT IS L-HISTIDINE?

L-Histidine is an essential amino acid important for growth and repair of tissues. It is necessary for the maintenance of myelin sheaths, which protect nerve cells, and the production of red and white blood cells. It is the precursor for histamine, and B-6, niacin, and Vitamin C are necessary for proper metabolism. It is also a precursor for Carnosine and Anserine. Histidine acts as an antioxidant protecting against radiation damage by helping to remove heavy metals from the body. It stimulates the secretion of gastric juices; therefore helping with digestion. Low levels have been associated with decreased hemoglobin and hematocrit, as well as those with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Deficiencies are also noted in Dysbiosis (an imbalance of intestinal flora) and anemia, and low levels may also attribute to nerve deafness.

I've had so many weird aches and pains, skin issues, a lot of rib pain? I always have to calm myself down and wait it out and usually in a couple days it is gone. I've also had inner ear itching but don't have dental issues

I often have an itch in an ear canal, and it seems to be worse when the humidity is low. I suspect that drying ear wax could have something to do with it. I resolve it by using the very thing that doctors always advise us to never use — Q-Tips.

If your ear or ears are draining however, and itching like mad, you may have a fungal infection in your ear. I had that happen to me before I started covering my ear canals during a shower, and using Q-tips to dry them after a shower.

I have had itching in my ears for about five years now, way before I had any gastrointestinal issues. I asked several physicians about it, including an ENT. Nobody was ever able to tell me the cause of it. Interesting, Lilja, that ear itching was one of those questions.

You know, thinking back about this, it may just be a coincidence, but if my memory is correct, I believe my ear itching has always been a problem mostly when I was magnesium deficient. After I boosted my magnesium intake late last spring, I don't recall having much of a problem with my ears any more, and it's not a problem now. If I ever have a magnesium problem again, I'm going to take note of whether or not my ears are affected.

Most of the time when I had an itch in an ear canal, I also had itching somewhere else on my skin (because of mast cell/histamine issues).

Dry, itchy skin is one of many symptoms of magnesium deficiency.

That means that 400 mg of magnesium is not enough, and then I have not counted the spray I use. Hmmm, I wonder how much I really need. I guess I'll just have to up my intake.

Thank you all for your thoughts and experiences!
