More about Magnesium

Post by Gabes-Apg »

I have been reading the 'New Zealand of Natural Medicine' it caught my eye at the local library.

came across an interesting article - 'The Power of Magnesium is Dose-Sensitive'

Another Doctor who has spent quite a bit of time researching and writing articles

went to his website and there are some other good articles -

Even a mild deficiency of magnesium can cause increased sensitivity to noise, nervousness, irritability, mental depression, confusion, twitching, trembling, apprehension, and insomnia.

Thanks for sharing, Gabes. Since I started putting magnesium gel on my thighs at bedtime I am able to sleep through the night. I don't leave home without it!

Thank you for sharing this, Gabes. Magnesium is a supplement I have not given enough attention to.

I have to say I like reading encouraging articles such as this. They have spoken of the benefits of Magnesium for so many years but you still hear how things like MS and Parkinsons are affecting people...incredible.

I have settled on a total 528mg of Mag Oil spray daily split between morning and night. I couldn't find time to spray more to get the benefits any sooner and I am sure anything less is not helpful. I plan to keep on this regimen going on an on an on. I look forward to seeking out a new veggie or something one of these days ;-)

My gut is starting to heal even more these days...I hold back the excitement that what I am doing is actually working finally. I have had constant 5's for over a week now, no extra yellow (bile) looking stuff and no floaters! I chalk it up that the hormone supplements were what was keeping me from reaching my healing state.

I do have one strange thing that keeps reappearing and it is always around the ears  I have little bumps that come an go usually affecting one side of the head/ear area, and they itch, so have been putting hydrocortisone cream on them once in a while and that backs it off. I still take an Allegra 180mg, not sure how long it takes for the toxins to be completely rid, but I imagine this must be what's going on as I am not taking any extra supps only my Vitd3 and Mag oil for now. Am hoping the Magnesium is doing its trick on me

Thanks for the article Gabes!

:iagree: Gabes, that second article is a keeper. I've been trying to decide if my Parkinson's diagnosis was due to gluten sensitivity, methylation issues, or something else. The "something else" appears to be magnesium deficiency. That had never occurred to me, but it certainly fits my situation, because it appears that I had developed a magnesium deficiency at least 4 years before the Parkinson's diagnosis. It's certainly possible that a combination of all of these issues may have contributed, but it appears that magnesium deficiency probably had a dominant effect.

Thanks,
Tex

Dear Gabes,
Maybe I'm stupid, or maybe the language confuses me, but I didn't understand much of the article, other than that magnesium is super important.

He is talking both about Magnesium Sulfate and Magnesium Chloride. Which one to choose?

I take this one, and wonder if it's good enough:

Lilia,

If you look at the subheadings in the article, you will see that he is talking about transdermal uses of magnesium. IOW, the sulfate and chloride forms of magnesium are used either applied to the skin, or injected, or used intravenously. Those forms would not normally be suitable for oral administration of magnesium. The one you are using is one of the best for oral administration.
