Mackey,

I do feel better after all the diet changes I have made. I still have a ways to go, but every couple of months gets better.

What test have you ordered?

Tests

Post by Mackey »

I ordered the panel A1+C1 tests. I've started trying to eliminate gluten - feeling a little better.

I'm kind of perplexedthat Dr. Fine hasn't answered these questions about our repeat testing . I would think that this group is a pretty good customer base for them. Deb

Deb,

I agree. I was told that it was good that I was feeling a bit better....and maybe I have Crohn's (which I dont have bleeding), and I could do an hour consult with Dr. Fine, if I wanted to, but no real reason why dispite my very very strict diet, that I put into play after receiving the results of the first Enterolab testing was done 2.5 years ago, my IGA was still so elevated.

It's disappointing.

Testing

Post by Mackey »

I'm going to wait on the testing. I am going to try gluten free/Paleo for two weeks to see what happens. I'm curious to see if anything happens - hopefully in a good way. I get so overwhelmed with all the information. I think I need to do what I think is best for me. If I have to go back on medication I will but I'm looking for a different GI doctor in the meantime.

Mackey,

There are some on this site that have felt much better after going gluten free....and usually dairy, soy, & egg free follows as it helps if only gluten free isn't enough. But, give it a try with being totally gluten free first.
I believe that gluten has a half life of about 120 days, so it might take some time to see positive results.

I know there's a lot of info on this site, and you do have to take it in small bites! Sometimes you have to walk away from it all, clear your head, then read some more!

Just remember the simpler your diet the better....meats, over cooked veggies etc....

Good luck!
Linda :)
