Hi Treese,
On a light note, I have eaten fried hashbrowns with coconut oil and chopped up deli turkey for the last 3 days practically for Breakast, Lunch and Dinner, lol. I read on the package that my red potatoes have 640 mg of potassium each and that coupled with the turkey I'm raking in the calories this weekend. I was 145# when I started this regimen, I am now at 132# I have felt concern but I am starting to feel better energy so perhaps this is my turning point. You will get there too, keep focus at the healing part, realize it is part of the process and there is a turning point. I've been having so many weeks of low energy that I wasn't sure when I would feel better, but I am starting to be there now. I'm sure I cleaned house to much yesterday, but I went with the flow of how I was feeling, and it felt sooo good! No urgent bathroom trips from getting my heart rate up, no headaches.....Today I backed off and went back to eating fairly often and podunking around the house
I don't mind rotating my foods and eating a lot of the same stuff, I did introduce a little avocado into the list the last few days so far its ok, I don't eat a lot though. Once you get to that healed point that you don't have D and haven't had it for a good strong couple weeks or more then get a bit creative with you safe foods, cook them differently, bake, steam, fry in safe oil. It's all the same food, but it feels different when cooked in different ways, that helps me feel like I am eating something new often. LOL.
I hope you had a relaxing walk today.
Hugs
Erica

Erica, thanks
What a nice reply, Erica, thanks! I did have a nice walk actually and released some of my body stress. My outlook has improved once again. And reading this, even more now! Thank you!
And Yes, preparing even the same foods a bit differently is also something I can try. Will keep that in mind.
I hope for your continued healing and recovery!

wow!
I keep learning. This past month I took 20 steps forward and 18 steps back the last couple days....olive oil. I had been using it a lot more lately. I met my tipping point, also gonna have to get rid of my fish oil, I don't trust it.
What about the vegetable stearate in most supplements? This website has changed my life!

Hi Vanessa,
As far as I am aware, that ingredient is not known to cause any problems for us (but of course that doesn't guarantee that it couldn't).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
FREEDA Vitamins
I wrote to FREEDA Vitamin Co. about their Vitamin Supplements and CC. I asked if they contain Soy and if they would be safe for people with CC. I am posting their Reply below: *TREESE
Thank you for contacting us. Daily Value Multivitamin is safe for a 63 year old person who is gluten sensitive and has collagenous colitis. Both Geri-Freeda and Daily Value Multivitamin contain natural vitamin E which is derived from natural vegetable oils including soybean oil. The soybean oil is processed so the minimum amount of soybean proteins are present. Geri-Freeda also has chelated selenium which has traces of soy and chelated chromium which may contain traces of soy.
We make a multivitamin called T-Vites which does not have vitamin E or any chelated minerals. T-Vites also does not have vitamin A because it is made for people who take high doses of vitamin A for a certain eye condition. This may be an option for the person you are writing about.
If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a good day.

I do not claim to understand all of this, but in looking back over my Livewello results I found this. I am homogenous for NOS2, and it specifically talks about CC...I have LC:

Both K2 and Krill oil enhance clotting. Therefore they're contraindicated for anyone taking a blood thinner.
I'm not sure that anyone has established any guidelines on what would be an excessive dose. These may be uncharted waters.
You're most welcome.
The pills I sent you would be a relatively low dose. If I recall correctly, someone (maybe Mercola) recommended a range from there up to about 4 times that amount, but maybe I'm thinking of someone else, or another product. It's been too long to rely on my memory.

Thank you Tex,
Since losing my marbles is one of my biggest fears, I wanted to keep up with some type of fatty acid regimen. My k2 was low on my last vitamin check and only take the RDA for women....should be OK. Just don't want to futz anything up.
On a side note ( and this will undoubtedly jinx myself) After a year and a half of diet changes and all of the advice of the people here I am finally in remission! First solid one time a day BM's in 2 years! Never thought it could happen. Boy was that hard work. (could of been a lot harder without you folks doing all of the heavy lifting) But one day I turned a corner. For anyone struggling...healing really can happen. So grateful
