I am reading more about going soy free and that is what seems to be the most difficult. It is in EVERYTHING. Even if I try and go gluten free, soy is virtually in all the gluten free products in some form of gum or lecithin. I try and eat very unprocessed foods as it is, but if I am eliminating dairy and trying to use some other form (almond milk, coconut milk, etc) there is some form of soy derivative in it.
Thoughts or advice?
How do you go soy free? It is in everything!

I had to eliminate soy as well. It is in everything. You CAN do it so do 't give up. It sucks- a lot. Virtually every GF product has soy in it. But it's probably best to avoid them anyway. Get in the thought that you don't get to have instant quick meals anymore unless you do the prep work beforehand. Eating fresh is good and eliminating soy will help! For me, I had stomach aches every time I ate. After going soy free, I don't get them anymore. It didn't help eliminate my D but that's just me. It made all the difference in the world. Don't be too discuraged.

Agree with Jean, if you are eating home cooked meat and vegetable meals, you can easily avoid soy.
I do cook ups on the weekends of soups/stews, freeze in meal portions, makes life easier.
If you really want milk replacement, many here make their own.
For meals on the run, I have rice protein powder that I mix with coconut water.
Safe potato crisps/chips that do not have vegetable oil.
The other key area to look at, to be soy free, is the bathroom. Almost all moisturisers, make up products etc have soy. I use rosehip oil, and pure lanolin as face, body moisturiser.
You can use coconut oil. Also watch lipstick/lip balms.
The other 'hidden' places for soy...
Eggs in the supermarket can have soy oil on the shells(to make them last longer) so do not have boiled eggs. (Poached, fried, scrambled are ok)
Some vegetables like potatoes can have soy oil on the skin, again to help last longer. I always peel a good 3mm off the veges before cooking.
Hope this helps...
