I can't do dairy, either so milk chocolate it out but I can eat Lindt 90% cocoa bars. You have to get used to it, but it's really not bad. As some have said, try the Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips. You'll be surprised that they're safe to eat.

I am so pleased you remembered this nugget of information. I'm taking great comfort from you not wanting chocolate since taking magnesium. I really do want to banish my sweet tooth especially for chocolate.
What about those Outshine popsicles, maybe? They do have a touch of sugar, but I think it's mostly fruit juice. Definitely no gluten, dairy, or soy.

Whoops, never mind. They have guar gum. :( That being said, you might be able to find all natural allergen safe Popsicles at a local health food store.

Lucy,
A good substitute for a popsicle is a frozen banana. Peel 'em first and freeze 'em in ziploc bags. Smear a bit of almond butter on top as you eat it and you have the only desert I ever eat these days.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Yum! Will definitely give this a try.tex wrote:Lucy,

YOu could also melt some of the chocolate chips others are suggesting and dip a banana in that and freeze it! I may try that this weekend. Heading to Whole Foods and Trader Joes on the weekend and will look for those chocolate chips!tex wrote:Lucy,

Ice-lollies are easy to make - why not make your own from foods or cold drinks you can have. I make ice lollies in the summer for my birds & dogs. The doggie ones are chicken flavored and the birdie ones have fruit and veg in them.

Kroger's Simple Truth organic brand dark chocolate is pretty good. They have several versions that are free of gluten, dairy, and soy.
Theo brand also makes some safe ones. I can sometimes get those at a discount grocery store in Dallas; not sure which stores regularly carry them. Read the ingredients, as not all Theo chocolates are safe for us.
Enjoy Life makes several different kinds of cookies. Those will all be free of the top 8 allergens, and free of gluten. My son who lives in Thailand sent me a case of them (6 boxes) for my birthday a couple of years ago, so I'm pretty sure you can order those online if you can't find any in a store near you.
