Hi,
I read something interesting about reaching a good level of vitamin D, that said: If you quit taking vitamin D beause you have reached the level you wanted, your level will drop drastically.
Does this mean that if I take 5.000 i.u. each day for for instance 3 months, and my blood test shows 150 nanomolar, I should continue taking 5.000 i.u.?

Lilia,
The answer is "Yes" if your test level is stable, and that's the level that you want to maintain. If your test level is increasing or decreasing though, or you want a higher or lower blood level of vitamin D, then it might be necessary to adjust your dose.
