Hi all again I was wondering if fat malabsorption was common to or at least something that can occur with microscopic colitis.

Yes it is. And it's one of the main reasons why so many of us tend to become deficient in some of the fat-soluble vitamins after a while.
Some physicians don't recognize this problem as being associated with MC because fat malabsorption is usually caused by inflammation of the small intestine, and most GI specialists consider MC to be a disease caused by inflammation of the colon (that's what the term "colitis" means), but plenty of published research shows that both the small and large intestines are commonly inflamed when MC is active.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
