Tex there a woman named Darlene that I have been Chatting with on the
SCD website. She was diagnosed with MC 6 years ago. She lives in Canada. It is very hard for them to get appointments with GI there.
Could we invite her to this forum?

Is this by any chance the same darlene who occasionally posted on the old board? If so, I believe that she posted on "the comfy place", also. Polly has been checking out the records of new invitees, just to be on the safe side, and she is gone for 5 days.
It's probably not the same individual, but we have to be very careful about inviting anyone who doesn't have a proven safe track record. The risk of inviting a sympathizer to this board, is that they may allow D & D to use their username and password to check us out, which wouldn't be cool, of course.
We need to avoid that risk at all costs, until this current discussion forum is closed and locked up , and we've opened a new one which doesn't contain any of the "venting" about what happened on the old board, etc.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Her name is Darlene Phillips. I don't think this is that person. I went to the SCD yahoo group and in three years there was not on post about MC
until I posted something. This Darlene was so thankful that I posted, because she had been diagnosed with LC six years ago, but didn't have much information. Darlene Phillips is part of her personal E-mail address.

No, I don't know much about her, she was a very infrequent poster while I was there, and she had several other issues besides MC. I always asumed that she lived in the U S.

A new and different Darlene introduced herself and said that she post on both sites, but does not like the comfy place because they incourge using boxed foods, etc, etc. She has epilepsy(SP), Celiac and a bunch of other stuff that she has gotten into remission on the SCD diet. She said that she
somethine goes to both MC places to rescue people to help them spread the word of diet.
They sound like good people.
