I've had a few good days recently , my appetite had picked up, I was relatively pain free as well. Yesterday I pigged out with food , when I woke up this morning i had central upper abdominal pains made worse by lying on my side!!
Got up, went to work and I've had pains all day, left side back (couple inches down from shoulder) , also extreme left flank stitch (level with bottom rib) and front left hand dull stitch from level with belly button to my rib cage . Also had some brief front right hand pains. To round off the day I've had 3 bowel motions all of which were rough formed , the last one had one narrow stool and one normal stool.
I was lacking a reasonable explanation for this ? It seems just as i get used to things being a certain way my body throws me something different to rattle me. I don't know what to make of it?
Ate well yesterday , plenty of pain today

What did you pig out on?I pigged out with food
was there triggers, was it higher in fibre? was it processed stuff? was it lots and lots of different ingredients?
the narrow stool is an indicator of inflammation
there could be a multitude of reasons for the symptoms
- depending on what you pigged out on, if you ate food items that are medium level or high level triggers then it would cause inflammation /pain
- eating a large amount of food can cause bloat/inflammation /gerd
- having lots and lots of different ingredients (ie more than 10 different ingredients in the one day) has put mega pressure on your delicate system
me personally, I can not have large meals at any time. and I have to eat at least 3 hours before bed time to avoid symptoms the next day.
the main thing for you - lessen learnt. for now I would not have too many pig out days...

I can't pig out at all.......pigging out brings out the worst in my pains................I eat smaller meals on a regular basis................
Your left side pains sounds like what I had until I got my diet under control and ate only safe foods...............

Before I say what i've eaten I will say that I took advantage of actually having an appetite yesterday, which is rare recently, Im 5FT 11 Inches and 82kg In Weight
Lunch:
Grilled lamb and chopped red cabbage
evening:
500gram grilled steak
two small tins mackerel in tomato
8 gluten free cookies
That is quite a bit for my weight but as I lost a fair amount of weight through loss appetite I thought it not a bad idea to pig out.

based on what you have said
the gluten free cookies - too much processed flours causes issues for many, even after healing
the mackerel in tomato - tomato is an issue for many, and it is very likely to have other ingredients that are not MC friendly
Steak - beef is the hardest meat to digest
not sure cabbage is the best vegetable to be having either
the combo of this would be enough to cause the symptoms you described
at this early stage, best to stick with soups, stews, with just a couple of safe well cooked veges (made on the basis of home made bone broth)
