Magnesium Citrate Experiment

Post by Marcia K »

Good evening. I'll post a recap for anyone who didn't see my original post. I have been using magnesium gel on my thighs at bedtime for some time which has helped me to sleep better. After reading on here about the benefits of magnesium I decided to take Magnesium Citrate. I started with 200 mg. which I took in the evening with dinner. After taking it for a few days it caused C. I wasn't sure if it was due to the time of day that I took it so I started to take it in the morning. That was the ticket, I had norman in the evening of the first day. Then the problem began, the next day I had 3 normans, which is way out of the norm for me. The final one had noise with it, which caused the hair on my neck to stand up because I haven't had any noise since I had D. So needless to say I am finished with the Magnesium Citrate. I will keep it in case I ever have C because I know it will work for me. This goes to show that our bodies are all different and what works for one won't necessarily work for all. I think I will try Magnesium Glycinate the next time I order from Vitacost.

Marcia,

Thanks for update,

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
