 I believe it's just a slow day. Maybe everybody had a busy day today.

Hope you have a good night.

Yes it is a slow day. Not only is no one posting, but not many members are even logging in. Maybe it's the phase of the moon.

I'm here

Haven't been on today, but this morning I was suffering a withdrawal headache (been cutting down on my pain meds) and this afternoon doing household stuff and out to a meeting tonight.

I don't post often now, but do check in to see how everyone is doing. You are all in my thoughts.

Take care.

Love - Momster

Checking in, busy preparing for Valentines Day in the flower shop.

Hunkering down with the woodstove going - could be -30 below, or colder by morning. This is some COLD COLD weather here my friends.

Stay warm.

Love,
Joanna

Have been checking out the forum to see how everyone is doing. Still on entocort ec.. down to two pills a day. Not as good as three and hope the doctor doesn't insist I go to one pill when I see him next month.

I have been incredably busy. But that has been a tremendous feeling after being so sick over the last 6+ months.

I also haven't had much to say because I've been bad about my diet, I'm really struggling with trying to loose weight by eating healthier, but every time I feel like I'm getting into a groove, something comes up and I eat crap again! I'm also incredably spacy. I think its hormonal.

Well, back to work. Looking forward to the weekend.

Kate - you wrote "every time I feel like I'm getting into a groove, something comes up and I eat crap again!"..................well, don't feel alone in your misery. I am having the very same problem. Ever since Thanksgiving. I was just starting to get back on track a little bit and had to make the trip to Ga. That messed me up bad........again. I hate to admit it to everyone here also bacause so many have such wonderful will power.

grannyh - if you aren't doing as well on 2 entocort as you did on 3, then I don't blame you one whit for not wanting to reduce it further. Don't forget to let us know how it's all going for you.

Joanna -30!!!! How do you even stand to go outside for ANYTHING!!! Please be careful.

Momster - you remain in my thoughts as well, even though I'm not posting much either.

Wayne - I am assuming you are still doing well and healing. I'm glad you decided not to do the gluten challenge.

Oma - I am so impressed with your spirit and will power.

JJ - hoping you had a good night's sleep. Looks like there is more traffic here today.

Love to all, Shirley

I need a hug! I had a stressful day at work and got home and have been sobbing! More and more it looks very possible that they could make cuts at my school....new courses may be added that will impact the enrollment in MY classes. My director said that more and more the Board is frowning on small classes. My art classes are very small and it is difficult to have big numbers because of the scheduling of other classes. I am just sick! I am single and don't know how I can survive on just 75% full time. Guess I will need to find a part-time job or maybe check into teaching at the local community college. I am exhausted and frustrated and sad! On the one hand the Admissions Director brags about my program, and then I get negative vibes from my division head. I wish I drank....would be a good time to have a snort! On top of it all, tomorrow is Open House and I have to put on my happy face....bah humbug...thanks for letting me rant! JJ

Don't blame you one bit for ranting and it's much better to get it out than to hold it all in.

I'm really sorry you are having a rough time and I surely hope it will not end the way you are afraid it will.

I'm quite sure, though, that you will overcome the hurdles, whatever they turn out to be.

Hi Jill,

Please don't worry about things that might happen. It doesn't help a thing to worry about them, and there's a good chance that they will never happen, anyway. If I worried about all the things that might happen to me, I'd be a nervous wreck, and I wouldn't have time to do anything but worry.

Besides, even if the worst were to happen, you could handle it. You're talented, experienced, qualified, and versatile, and there are always positions available for people with qualifications such as that. Don't let "what ifs" get you down. Life's too short for that.

Thanks you guys...and Tex, I know you're right, it's just that jobs are hard to find these days, especially in the Arts....they seem to be the first to be cut. But...as you said, and as my father used to say to me, "Don't go borrowing trouble"...it's hard to see that when the dark cloud seems to be hovering over head. My boss made a comment about cutting back on hours and her e-mail today confirmed that she meant the Arts positions are included. I will try to be positive...it's just hard right now. One of the other problems is that I am Chair of the Arts Dept. but have been left out of some preliminary discussions....not good do you think?
