Hi Terry,
I'm sorry that didn't work. I've never used either of those meds, but what Vanessa posted makes a lot of sense. Having MC changes some of the rules of the game and that can complicate a lot of the things that we might need to do. And we all seem to respond to many/most meds differently.

Apparently I have A NP that has no clue.
Last spring she prescribed Venlafaxine 75mg for anxiety day 2 I reacted to it and was sick then I tried Clonazepam .25mg after 30 days she
increased it to .50mg after 30 days she increased it to 1mg I tried it for 1 day and was to strong of A dose so I went back to .50 for the summer but I could tell it was not getting it.I had A follow up in the fall and she told me that THEY (don't know who) wanted their pcp
with patients on A controlled substance to change to A different drug unless there was A medical reason why.
So I agreed and went with Bupropion HCL 150 mg 1x and Clonazepam .25 2x for 30 days then .25 1x 30 days to wean me off day 2 I was very sick I sent her A message to let her know what happened and I stopped the Buprion and went back to Clonazepam .50 I sent her A message the next day to let her know I was better she replyed great have A nice day.2 weeks ago I called her nurse for A refill no reply (The following day my NP was scheduled for surgery an is off for 2 weeks crap)I finally got A message form the nurse the she did not feel compfortable with me being on it long term and was not going to refill it and if I thought I needed to stay on it I would need to see A psychiatrist I agreed but
not for the reason for staying on Clonazepam but for anxiety. So now I have only A 5 week supply to wean off.I really don't understand why she started me on it at all. javascript:emoticon(':Itchscratch:')
I get my yearly blood draw at work free so I take advantage of it every year it has been great except this year.
I sent A copy to my NP and she apparently sees nothing wrong but I get A detailed report and they are saying I am or near anemia.
RBC 3.89
MCV 108.2
MCH 36
HDL 56
TRIGLYCERIDE 159
GLUCOSE 100
GGT 72
My DW saw this coming with my restricted diet.
I guess its time to find another PCP again.

Hi Terry,
Most PCPs don't get excited about slight excursions in RBC-related test results unless they have a reason to suspect that bleeding might be involved.
With a low RBC and an elevated MCV and MCH, my guess would be that you have larger than normal red blood cells, which can be due to low vitamin B-12, or you may need to take the active form of B-12 (methylcobalamin).
Your triglyceride level wasn't elevated enough to get excited about, either. Vitamin B-12 deficiency has also been shown to be associated with elevated triglyceride level. Hypothyroidism can also cause an elevated triglyceride level, but usually the level is significantly higher than your result.
But as I mentioned in my first sentence, minor excursions out of range for theses items don't usually cause most PCPs to raise an eyebrow.

Terry,
While you are dealing with the ups and downs of medication changes etc, are you taking Vit D3? If not, start taking it, if you are taking it, maybe increase the dosage for a bit til you get the medication thing sorted.
Using topical magnesium will also help the body during the transition phase...
Hang in there......

Last Feb.my D3 was at 11(very low) B12 440.
So I started D3 7000 Iu per day I reduced to 4000 IU for the summer I was avoiding the sun because of pre cancer developed on the top of my ear. In Feb.I started with mag spray and changed to mag oil am thinking about switching to oral soon.
My NP prescribed the high dose of D2 I took for 2 days and found out D2 would not get it so I switched to D3 (That pissed her off)
My NP has not followed up on my D3 level so I am at A guess on my D3.
I lost over 12lbs (I cant afford to loose even 1 lbs I am not A big person)by early summer I gained 5lbs I was happy.
Now I lost 5lbs from the histamine issues in the fall and became intolerant to soy and corn.
Its frustrating that I have to change my PCP again.
My daughter has A rare disease (forgot the name) A few members here has it but she went through 11 doctors until she was diagnosed they all thought she just wanted the pain meds.
Thanks Gabes

if you are concerned about your Vit D3 level, might be worth getting the test from the Vitamin D council.
low Vit D3 levels will increase anxiety and depression symptoms.
There a few here that have supportive Doctors / Specialists etc- the reality is, the health system is not set up to support people with these type of issues. its not the doctors fault, they are following the system.
That is where 'informed self care' comes into it, that we the individual have to fill the gaps that the health system is not able to provide, frustrating, expensive, tiring yes, albeit it is what it is... we have to accept that and come up with the best solution.
Due to me moving, doctors moving and various aspects of my wellness journey, I have had 9 PCP's over the past 7 years. It is tiring to go through the set up of the relationship etc.
In Australia we dont have online medical records like you, so I have to pay a fee to get records transferred, I have had to keep a copy of every test result and then share these with new doctors.
What i have learnt to do is take whatever the doctor can provide and fill the gaps with other practitioners, external testing. It may seem expensive but for me being well is essential to earning money. filling the gaps has given me the information about root cause and allowed me to start to fix the damage etc.
quite often i didnt tell the doctor what dose of Vit D3 i was taking, I told them what they wanted to hear. The discussions here and the research I did, and listening to my body, i knew what was best.
it may seem overwhelming but informed self care is fairly important in situations like ours.

I would like to share A update. For the past 4 days I was passing more gas ,slight pain in my colen and stools were improving
today I saw NORMAN I could not belive it so I looked at the tp and nothing. This is the phase I have been waiting for and didnt expect it yet with dealing with stress and cross contamination. Now I plan to carry on with my diet and to continue to heal in the direction of remission.
Since my NP refused to refill my anxiety meds I did get the ball rolling to see A psychiatrist.
First I needed to be evaluated then they assigned me A councler and A doctor I have seen my councler 2x and see the doctor at the end of
the month (ten week wait)will see how everything goes am thinking on starting A new thread on this one.Stress is definately not our friend.
