I'm having some sleep troubles, wondering if anyone can share some wisdom.
I've been using the magnesium spray for the last five days, several times a day and taking D3 and B12 (dissolving tablet). I'm hoping to treat the magnesium deficiency that I probably have, but I'm guessing that it's not enough magnesium yet in my system to really make a difference. The last several nights I've woken up after several hours of sleep around 1 or 2 am with a rapid heart beat, and totally unable to go back to sleep for hours. The minimal sleep is making it hard to get my through my day, although today I have a few hours while my kids are at school to lie down.
I have also been taking half an allegra 12 hour pill in the morning on the last few days, which I think has been helping digestion, the D has been gone for about a week until this morning, when I had a small amount. So could the allegra be keeping me up at night? Should I try chlor-trimeton at night? It really knocked me out when I tried it during the day, but after four hours I was fine. I was afraid if I took it at night I'd wake up after four hours and be unable to sleep. In addition to the mag spray I also took a caplet of the Doctor's Best Magnesium that Tex recommended yesterday, and I seemed to be okay with that. Unless that's what caused the D this morning…of course not sleeping much for three days causes stress, and that causes D, so who knows?
I know we're all different, just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone. I'm still eating rice, turkey, broth, and that's it. Might try some overcooked cauliflower today.

If you're waking up in the wee hours of the morning with tachycardia, you are either magnesium deficient or hyperthyroid. When I was having that problem I took a lot more magnesium than you are taking, including another tablet just before bedtime to get me through the night without running out of magnesium. Chelated magnesium does not cause D.
The 4 mg chlor-trimeton formulation is a first-generation antihistamine, so it is not a non-drowsy antihistamine. Some of the members here take benedryl (which is another first-generation antihistamine) just before bedtime as a sleep aid (in addition to the antihistamine benefits).
