most stock cubes gravy / granules have troublesome ingredients for MC'ers.
if you use meat portions on the bone, salt and a few safe veges, this will be your safest option,
(using meat portions on the bone will help to add flavour)
there is a product called coconut aminos which is coconut based replacement for Worcestershire sauce.
this is the only flavour enhancer i would recommend for you at the moment while there is so much inflammation.
keep the veges plain, like potato, carrots. no more than 3.

mmm not sure that lamb is a high fat meat, regardless animal fat is essential for gut healing and healthy digestion process. well cooked lamb, freezes and reheats well, and settles way better than beef. In Aus, lamb is one of the cheapest meats so it also suits my budget.

For now I would prioritise Vit D3 and magnesium, you need good levels of these to absorb other nutrients.
Vit D3 wise, as mentioned in a previous reply to you, if you can source a lingual version you will absorb this better. most likely place is via a compounding pharmacy or functional practitioner.
it may seem expensive compared to tablets etc but like you found with the magnesium, you get what pay for. being able to absorb the Vit D3 lingually until you get inflammation reduced will provide more benefit.

if this is not readily accessible for you, there is a good MC safe Vit D capsule product via iHerb (online website, great prices, prompt order despatching world wide, I purchase 80% of the my supps via them) or maybe amazon UK sells it. it is Now foods, Vit D3 with K2. It is gluten, dairy, soy free.

While you are on the subject of Magnesium I have the Doctors Best chelated Magnesium and checked the ingredients
magnesium stearate (vegetable source).
Would you know what the vegetable source would be?

Gabes always recommends bone broth and in got me through last winter with the inflammation in my gut.
If my gut was unsettled I would warm up A cup of bone broth and drink it straight my gut would calm down right away.

Please Jimbo...........no stock cubes or any other stuff bought from shops. They have as Gabes and I have said, bad stuff that will prolong the inflammation in the gut.

You have a slow cooker - thats great news. Get down to the butcher - order lamb bones and make your own stock in your slow cooker.

I use this slow cooker, its fabulous and programmable? This is the 6L one, they make a smaller one too. The best bit about this slow cooker is you can buy extra liners, lids and other bits for it. The liners are stainless steel and have thick bottoms like proper pots so you can put them directly into the stove.

Recipe for Bone Broth
Bones 1kg - Lamb, turkey or venison bones in the beginning.
Water 1L boiled from kettle
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Pepper
Carrots
Celery stick optional

Method
Place all the above ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for 12hrs - 14hrs topping up water as needed. Discard bones and vegetables and strain the stock. What you want is a concentrated 500mls of stock. Cool and freeze in small pots, muffin tray, cupcake baking tray or disposable cups.

I use my slow cooker once a week just to make stock, which I store in my freezer. When the stock is cool I freeze in a cup cake pan and when the stock is frozen I put them in a plastic bag in the freezer and whats left over in glass a bottle in the fridge and use as and when necessary. I cook vegetables in it and my meat. I also sometimes just have the hot bone broth with salt and pepper as a hot drink - its very good for you. You can take some to work in a flask and have it instead of coffee or tea.

Magnesium stearate is of course a salt compound of magnesium and stearic acid. Stearic acid is a saturated fat (IOW, a saturated fatty acid). As far as I can determine, the stearic acid used to make the magnesium stearate that is commonly used in pharmaceutical products and supplements is usually produced by hydrogenating cottonseed oil or palm oil. Since palm oil is the most widely used vegetable oil on the planet, I would guess that the "vegetable source" of the stearic acid in the magnesium stearate in Doctor's Best Chelated Magnesium is palm oil.

If you are interested in more information about the claimed hazards of magnesium stearate, Chris Kresser has written an article about it that disputes the negative claims made about it.

Thanks good article.
I tested my Magnesium level this week and stopped my Mag gel (not good)
Day 3 no Magnesium hand and foot cramps came back (like always) day 4 my anxiety level went sky high.
I used the last of my mag gel this morning and anxiety down I am starting the Doctors Best tomorrow just have to stay away from corn and soy just being cautious.
