Anyone Else Have This Problem?

Post by tex »

Or is it just me? If I start a new topic, and then go back to edit out a typo or something, using the quick edit option, when I click on the box to update the post, the system truncates my topic line, (subject). I have to go back and edit the post, using the original edit function.

Puzzled,
Tex

Hi Mrs. Columbo,

Hahahahahaha. You can't fool me. You're always pretending that you aren't sure what's going on, when actually, you're the only one who does know what's REALLY going on.

The "Quick Edit" option is handy if you just need to edit the text in a post, (but not any of the fancy bells and whistles). If you want to try it sometime, just click on the little circle to the left of the words "QUICK EDIT", at the bottom of your post (instead of the "edit" button at the top. That will open a window inside your post, toward the top, where you can edit the text. When you finish, just click on the little rectangular box just below the edit window, and kind of to the right, that says "Edit post", to submit your changes. It's much faster than the regular "edit" function.

Hi Wayne,

The quick edit function hasn't been working for me either.
:???: Let's see if this edit works.

Hi Alice,

Are you not getting the "edit window" when you click on the "QUICK EDIT" circle, or is the system not updating after you click on the "Edit post" box?

I intentionally used the quick edit earlier and I don't seem to be having any problems.
