I love and go to lutefisk dinners here in MN and even cook it myself.....fortunately I can eat butter! I had a full-blooded Norwegian maternal grandfather but his wife hated the stuff. My paternal German grandmother was the one who got me hooked!

Minnesota is obviously a district full of Norwegian settlers.

It's so nice to hear that such an odd dish is appreciated and has been kept alive in your country, among Norwegian emigrants.

Like we say: It's all about the add-on's... Like the bacon, the green peas, the mustard, and also the sweet "brown cheese", and of course the Aquavit (for those who can tolerate it).

Never liked the Aquavit but loved the gjetost (sp?) brown cheese with honey???
