Initial results from food intolerance test
The nutritionalist who done my food intolerance blood test called me today, basically she will give me the finer detail tomorrow but she said over the phone that my IgE was significantly elevated but that no single food stood out, it was rather a cumulative effect of many more minor intolerances. Does this sound familiar to any of you out there? I've got an appointment tomorrow to get the finer detail but that was a summary of what she said on phone. She is talking about rotating foods to lessen the load on my system

yes this has occurred for some MC'ers if you look at the Enterolab results section and the discussions in the MRT results section.
there are quite a few people that react to LOTS of food items
there are quite a few people who follow/investigated a rotation eating plan

But remember that those blood tests are not nearly as reliable for detecting food sensitivities as the EnteroLab stool tests. Blood tests virtually always contain false negative results and false positive results, along with a few accurate results.

Hi thank you for the feedback , I was aware that blood was not ideal but I thought it would be better than a skin prick test which is what I had before many years ago. What I thought was strange was the high IgE but only moderate intolerances to individual foods albeit to many of them. For the time being I'm going to have to accept the results of this test despite its weaknesses as I'm going to self fund my colonoscopy and endoscopy and MRI scan of small intestines. I've been waiting since September 17th and still have no date!

Yes, a blood test is definitely better than a skin test unless you're looking for skin sensitivities. Maybe they checked for IgG antibodies also. That could show chronic inflammation of a more general nature.

Here's the results of my food intolerance blood test
Here are my results of intolerance test , the test was done by Genova Diagnostics, it is called an IgG Food antibody Assessment (Serum).
Firstly of note is my IgE 352.0 (ref <=87)which is very high, also of note is no food is coming up as very high, and gluten is coming up as low and wheat very low.
They are classified as none detected, very low, low, moderate, high

there are some good basics in the none category for you to set up a safe eating plan
not sure what your practitioner recommended, my suggestions based on this list;
fruit wise, for now only have banana's and maybe cooked apple. Although the food is on the none list, MC'ers still react to too much fibre, too much fruit sugar
and protein wise, based on this you should do ok with Beef, Lamb, Salmon, Eggs etc.

I must say Gabes that I think Tex may be right about a blood based test not being as good as Stool based , my personal experience of broccoli for instance has not been good yet my blood serum suggests it's ok. I was also expecting gluten to be higher up than 'Low' , i suppose it could've been 'v low' or 'none' then it would've raised more questions . Hope your doing well and thank you for response

the tough part Jim - there is no PERFECT test that will tell us exactly what we want to know.
the tests etc can provide guidance. listen to your body.
I never did the enterolab poop tests ( i couldnt afford it ) so did elimination diet process.
within 6 months I knew my major triggers, within 12 months i knew major and medium level triggers.
I have staples - that i can eat daily
I have sometimes foods that I can have 2-3 serves a week
and treat foods that i can have once every couple of months

Wheat is the main source of gluten, so the result for wheat should be in the same category as gluten, and yet in your results it is rated as less reactive than gluten. But the reason that happens is because IgG and IgE tests are for detecting allergies, not for detecting the type of food sensitivities that are associated with MC.
