And to add to Gabe's comment about rebuilding trust in your body. After we gain more experience, we eventually become somewhat comfortable with the realization that "stuff" happens, but even when it does happen, we have the knowledge and ability to deal with it, and get back on track. We've been there and done that, and the recognition that our knowledge and experience can be priceless when the chips are down, is a real confidence builder.
After all, that's knowledge and experience that's not available to even the best GI doc in the world. Is that awesome or what?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Tex, if you can't buy cashew milk yet, it's easy to make with a high speed blender.
Soak 1 cup cashews for a few hours, drain and rinse.
Blend for 2 - 3 minutes with 3 to 4 cups of water, depending on how thick you want it. You can also add a safe sweetener, if you like, or vanilla.
Doesn't need to be strained if you've blended it long enough.
Keeps about 4 days before going a little off.
Delicious!

Chris,
That sounds good, and easy to do. I'll have to give that a try. The next trick will be to find affordable (and safe) cashews in the small towns around here. I may have to order them online.
Thank you for sharing,

Progress not Perfection!!
I think I have finally gotten to a blend of Magnesium 600-800mg - VitD3/5000mg - sublingual B complex/dropper full - Zinc 50mg - and Potassium 200mg daily ratio that I have over ridden the dreaded migraine for this month. Onto next month
That would be a Merry Christmas for me Halleluiah!!

Caught a cold over the last few days...that has set me back a bit, it also triggered a pretty good cluster headache - didn't take any med for it because with all the other symptoms going on I didn't want to feel the side effects of the triptan medication too....so just slept ALOT.
I'm on the other side of it now...time to keep getting better.
I got my 23andMe results and have downloaded my raw data into Promethease. Been scouring lots of data, learned a thing or two, nothing to erratic. I do have a longevity gene FOXMO3 that could allow me to live into the 100's. There are a couple other intestinal areas that I could use some help demystifying if anyone is able to help. I don't have any MTHFR issues but there are a couple comments about certain things to eat that could help me.

livewello and genetic genie etc provide reports grouped into areas...
I found all the maybe's and could be's of the prometheises reports overwhelming
I prefer to deal in actual stuff.
the other web site reports make it easier to review results for certain areas...and gauge if it is an actual issue
if you email me the genetic genie report I will have a look at it for you...

Update since the cold came on Dec 21st...
It was a quick cold virus and the really awful symptoms didn't last as long as they normally do...BUT.... (there's always a 'but') the time it took for my body to process all the mucus, built up histamine, improper food choices (only a couple but enough to keep me from staying in remission) I can say it has been a full month now and in only the last two evenings by eating my safe foods for the last 7 days and taking Benedryl for the last two nights along with the daily Claritin Reditab during the day did I reach a Norman again!
I've got to keep reminding myself that I'm not fully healed enough yet, and it has been 9 months now. I also have to remember to Stay The Course or else I will keep hindering my progress. Those few mild foods still need to be my food of choice no matter what my brain says! Geez the alter Ego can be pretty persuasive and it is hard to ignore it, it takes every ounce of will power to turn away from those old comfort foods one was used to turning to when they didn't feel good ;-)
I'm way more ahead now than I was back in May 2015, so I am very grateful for that.
