I'm ready!

Post by JJ »

OK...batten down the hatches...I think I'm ready for the storm. It may turn out to be small, but they think it will be the worst wind storm we've had in many years. I went to the store....bought batteries for my tiny TV/radio and fire logs...I have some fire wood left, but not much. I haven't had time to buy a cord. I have kerosene lamps in the living room and lots of candles and flash lights. I should be AOK. I am a little worried about my trip to Vashon Island tomorrow morning...the ferry from Tacoma to Vashon isn't as big as the Seattle ferry...then, we load the ski bus at 9AM...if it is too windy, they will cancel the ferry runs....after we load the bus, we go off the north end of the Island to Seattle. And then, there's the drive over Lake Washington on the floating bridge...this outta be wild! If it's too windy, they won't run the ski lifts! Anyway. we missed last Saturday because the Pass was closed....avalanches....will have to see what happens tomorrow.

Tonight is Part II of Trading Spouses which features my former student and her family. It is really sad because they portray her as not having a life, which is probably true. At school, she rubbed the other kids the wrong way, and most of the faculty too. I got along with her really well because she loved arts and crafts so much...if anyone watches, let me know what you think....happy weekend....JJ

We are also expecting a major snow storm in Ohio. The weather reports vary from 2-4 inches to over 6 inches between Saturday morning and Sunday morning.

I have to run a few errands in the morning and intend on being home before the rain turns to snow in the afternoon.

Larry works tomorrow until 4 and then we can stay home and keep warm and dry!

Stay warm and safe everyone!

Checking-in....wind woke me up last night...lights have been flickering this morning. Yikes...no ski school today! There will be blizzard-like conditions in the mountains. I am very happy to stay home! There have been 75mph gusts on the coast so far, and the storm is just moving in. Yup, they are saying this is the worst storm in years!

Hope everyone is having a cozy weekend.....TTFN....JJ

Jill,

I'm glad you're not making that trip, I didn't like the sound of it at all. I hope it diminishes quickly as it moves inland.

Take care.

Glad you made it OK JJ.

It RAINED & RAINED & RAINED here last night and today. If we'd had that much rain in Pa. we'd have lost our bridge.

Supposed to be sunny tomorrow though I believe.
