Alexia Frozen Potatoes

Post by jlbattin »

I just wanted to share this brand as I can eat potatoes with no problem and really prefer the Yukon gold potatoes when I buy them. I had been looking at all the frozen potatoes but most of them have soy in them. I usually just make hash browns and fix them myself, but once in awhile, it's nice to have something on hand for those days when you just don't want to cook!

I found these Alexia Yukon gold French fries in the frozen section of the grocery store and they don't have anything in them that bothers me: Ingredients: Organic Potatoes, Organic Canola Oil and/or Organic Sunflower Oil and/or Organic Safflower Oil, Sea Salt, Citric Acid.

They have other types of frozen potatoes and I haven't tried any of the others. One of them, I believe had sour cream and chives, which is out of the question, but I did buy a bag of their sweet potato puffs to try also.

I found them at my King Sooper's (Kroger) store and they also have them at Natural Grocers and Whole Foods where I live.

I've been checking out hashbrowns in my neighborhood too, it appears the most generic one at Walmart works the best for me, lol. It isn't the Great Value either it is some other off brand.

Lately since my lovely cold hit the end of December, most everything is not agreeing with me, I'm pretty deflated about that...been having 6 and 7's lately in BM world. This really can be frustrating as this could be anything from inflammation from the virus to my hormones waking up for Spring!

Wow, Erica, I'm so sorry you are struggling. Knock on wood, I've managed to escape anything although I have had sick kids in my classroom every single day, it seems! I diffuse my essential oils every day. Using one that is antibacterial. It's working! Sending you a hug. Hope you're better soon!

Thanks Jari....hugs are appreciated right now. It's not like I'm running to the loo a lot but the trips aren't the same as last Fall. I'm starting to think my change in antihistamine to Claritin reditabs aren't working as well as the Allegra was. Go figure! Anyway, I'm so glad you are doing well and I hope you surpass any virus all year long 😄

I have bought the sweet potato fries and puffs. They are both very good. I haven't tried the flavored varieties.
