The Storm has arrived......

Post by Mars »

It started with rain this morning (started last night) and turned to mixed w/snow around 11 and then plain wet, heavy snow. They are calling for 6 or more inches before tomorrow morning. Well, really it depends on where you read the information or what newscast you're watching or listening to.

The worst is to come after 3 (which was an hour ago) which it is. YIKES! :yikes: High winds tonigh with drifting and continued snow.

Man, should have gone with :pigtail: :vacationsign:

How's YOUR weather??

Love,
Mars

Ours is dry, dry, dry, dry. We had .05 inches of rain Thursday night. Just enough for a tease! I was hoping Amarillo Andy would come out of his hole on Tursday with a rain hat, golashes and an umbrella. No such luck!

Take care!

Mars....I'll take your snow, but you can keep the wind. The wind has calmed down....only breezy here now, but there is going to be a blizzard in the mountains! I am sooo glad ski school was canceled today and also glad my school ski group isn't going tomorrow! I actually got some house work done today.....it is looking better already...hadn't done ironing for 2 weeks...yikes!

Hope you survive the snow and wind....stay warm!

Looks like a good time to stay indoors with a good book or something Mars. Wouldn't want to be running around out in that sort of weather.
Stay safe

Mars,

We're having spring weather here in Central Texas. Temps in the 70's with light wind, and sunshine. We were fortunate enough to catch a thunderstorm Wednesday night, that dropped two and a half inches of much needed rain, so maybe the corn planters will be able to roll on schedule, after all, in about a week.

I hope that storm is gone tomorrow.

Love,
Wayne

Tex is right...mild temps except for the 50 mi winds Friday Morning. And the wind adversry out for tonite. Other than that it's been great weather. We got some much needed rain as did Tex. We have wind all the time here...so we are good candidates for the windmills. I truly beleive we need to find alternatives to oil...but that's another story....anyway mars stay safe and warm Love Oma

We got quite a bit of snow yesterday and today. There is probably 5-6 inches on the ground and the wind is blowing with strong gusts. The snow is causing poor visibility and is drifting.

Glad I stayed home today but have to go to work tomorrow. Larry is going out to snowblow the driveway hoping we dont have a lot of drifting overnight.

Staying warm,
Mars
