Hiding under a Rock.......

Post by HappyBird »

Well, that's what it feels like......

I haven't posted much, got a pain in the jaw which has been a pain in the proverbial xxxx
having to take :takemeducibe: etc and feeling decidedly not right. Happy news, gut is holding up thank heavens.

I have to wait a few weeks for surgery ti have the pesky problem solved.

Would like to ask whether, with my MC history, allergies etc it us advisable to try fermented vegetables as part of gut health and repair?

Dental problems are the pits. Since your MC seems to be under control at this point, I doubt that fermented foods would provide much benefit ahead of the procedure. Afterward though, if antibiotics will be used, it's usually a good idea to immediately follow an antibiotic treatment regimen with either fermented foods or a good commercial probiotic, in order to help prevent any opportunistic pathogenic gut bacteria from moving in to occupy the parking spaces that become available as a result of the antibiotic destruction of existing gut bacteria populations.

Good luck with the procedure.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks Tex.......

I am going to start Symprove as soon as I have taken my last anti-biotic. The pain is now almost gone, thank heavens. I want to avoid any gut disturbances at all costs.
