MAO-A Mold, Biotoxin, and Environmental Illness Cure Project

Post by Erica P-G »

Another very interesting topic associated with the MAO-A gene but digs into when it isn't functioning up to par it causes other parts of us to fall ill, as associated with the calcium pulling and mast cell issue stemming from it.

Erica,

I didn't read that article, but the bottom line (if you happen to be homozygous for monoamine oxidase (MAO-A) on your 23andme test results), is that you have an increased risk of being sensitive to histamine. I happen to be homozygous for MAO-A, and histamine is definitely a problem for me.

Yes...I am Homozygous for the MOA-A, it really is eye opening, and I feel I have histamine issues often.
