How do I copy info that I see others have in a post in the "white box" from an internet article or a previous post?
Also, how do I insert Emoticons?

Hi Terre,
You can copy and paste any text into a message you are composing. Then highlight the text and click on the "Quote" button above the message window. The system will automatically insert the necessary code into your message so that after you submit your post, it will appear as a quote in everyone's browser when they read your post.
To use the emoticons, when you get to where you want to insert an emoticon, click on the "View more Emoticons" link to the left of the message window. Then enlarge the popup window that appears so that you can see more emoticons, and scroll to any emoticon you wish to insert into your post. Just click on the emoticon (or emoticons) that you want, and the system will automatically insert the necessary code into your message so that after you submit the post, they will display properly when anyone views your post in their browser.
I you have any problems getting any of this to work, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Terre and Tex for passing on infomation for using the site, I did wonder about the quote too, and have never tried to use it till now , thought I would give it a go , just testing to see...

Terre, something that might help you a little further, after I copied the text to my message, and highlighted it as Tex has said, and hit the quote button, I only see the ( quote) in brackets until I previewed it ,like in your draft message you see only the emoticons until you hit preview hope that helps you with the confusion. at least I think I have it figured out Ha! We are never too old to always be learning and keeping our brains active right!!!!! no worries, have a great day.
I will certainly laugh if all I have said turns out it doesn't work for me.. Ha! hitting submit to see.

I sure know it is about progress and not perfection , isn't what started my MC in the first place eh! Ha! just kidding, I know MC is much more complicated than that and it helps to laugh about it, much nicer than crying. I love to look at life with so much we have to be thankful for
and when something crops up to bother me, I do two things " look at it and say , will this matter in 5 yrs from now and will I care" and second " I do the best I can with the knowledge I have right now and try my best to remember this disease is not going to control me, I am going to control it with my lifestyle choices and listening to my body,
my unique and wonderful body and hold my head up high. We have choice not will power , our whole lives are make up of choices and we can do anything we want bad enough that is including taking care of ourselves and living a quality life. opps got carried away. have a great day. :-)

I have no idea what's going on with your posts. I can edit Gabes' or Twirlitgirl's posts in this thread to add a quote and it works just fine. But when I try to change a sentence in one of your posts into a quote it doesn't work (just as you have discovered).
Apparently something weird is going on with your browser when you post those messages. Your browser might be using a corrupt cookie. You might be able to resolve the problem by clearing your cookie cache. If you're not sure how to do that you can do it by clicking on the link below this thread that says, "Remove cookies set by this forum", and then following the onscreen directions. Be sure that when it says to close your browser you close all open tabs, otherwise it won't work. If it works properly when you open your browser again and try to load this website you should have to enter your username and password. If those items are still automatically prefilled for you by your browser, then it didn't clear the cookie cache.
And sometimes when all else fails, just rebooting a computer can fix weird problems such as this.

Hi Gabes,
I have always enjoyed your advice and wonderful , caring words to help those who reach out lost in their journey, Of course it goes without saying how much Tex is there for everyone as well, many a lonely day I have gotten on here and just smiled at the lives being touched by all the comments. I sometimes doubt myself and my journey but then reading here keeps my spirits up when I want to just throw my hands up and grab for anything I can get my hands on in the cupboard that is off limits to me and would make my life so miserable.. I choose to think of my food as nourishment for my body and unique for me... fun talking to you Gabes.
