How's the new handicapped bird doing? I was just wondering. We have had a huge influx of red cardinals here lately. They are hitting the bird feeder hard. Between the red cardinals and the little birds...they are cleaning me out of seed. Hope to see a new pic of the little bird. Name?

Thanks for asking, Oma,
Phyllis is doing great! Her feather condition is much better (a bath) and she is slowly filling out. She's still a long way from being fat, but I'm feeding her everything I can think of to help her along that path.
She is getting sweeter if that's possible. I used to have to go slow when I wanted to pet her. Now she presents her head to be scratched when ever I'm close. Stepping up is almost automatic too. Her neck may be getting stronger, but I can't say for sure. She is able to climb around her cage much better, but she still has to make circles to get to her intended perch.
I don't think I could find a nicer pet, but don't tell the rest of my birds! BTW, my African Grey is a little jealous, which is working to my advantage as she is much more willing to spend time with me.
Love, Jean
