Erica, that is good news! I can't sit still either, I have to make myself. I'm the same way about headaches, I'll start to get one and grab more mag. It rarely developes into a migraine.

I'm hoping that eventually stops, but for now I'm excited about that. I increased my mag yesterday after this post. In the spring, I'm going to increase even more. I'm hoping this spring I won't spend my beautiful days lying in a very dark room!

I so hope you have continued success!!

Magnesium Choloride spray, ingredients list " contains:distilled water, magnesium choloride and no mention of amounts... should I switch to somethingelse? I am not sure if I should just start a oral supplement instead as I am C dominate not D... thank

It sounds like you are using the right kind of Mag...but if it is diluted it isn't giving you the most bang for your buck.

I use this brand the price suits well as it lasts a long time actually..

LifeFlo says you are getting around 66mg per 4 sprays....so I've been putting 5 sprays in the palm of my hand and rubbing it on one leg and repeating for the other leg, from the knee down, an the excess on my hand I rub on my belly or arm. I don't waste any of it, lol. For me that accounts for around 150mg so I supplement with Drs Best the remaining 600 that I use on a daily basis. So I get around 750mg a day.

Yes, when we are magnesium deficient, the body can't get calcium out of the blood properly, to use it to make new bone tissue and so it builds up and goes to the wrong places and corrupts the way various systems of the body operate.

Doctors know that calcium can be constipating (some even prescribe calcium supplements to control MC), but they don't seem to realize that the problem is caused by a magnesium deficiency.

Now, I had a walk down memory lane, I came to think of my constipation in my childhood, and the possible link of lack of magnesium and vitamin D:

I was the blond one among my sisters. I had white, pale, transparent skin, and blond almost white hair. I didn't like to stay in the sun, but always ran to the back of the house where there would be shadow (and you know there isn't much sun above the Arctic Circle...). The sun gave me nausea and headache. And I was constantly constipated.

My sisters had what we call "olive skin", had brown hair and loved staying in the sun, they looked more like they were Spanish. Their skin would tan in minutes, while I never had a tan. And, they were never constipated...

Thanks for pointing that out, Tex. As I stood here reading I grabbed my Doctor's Best (purchased on Amazon) and saw that it's two tablets......I have only been taking one. It's helped but I think I will bump it up to the recommended two/day.

Deb,

You're most welcome. IMO that labeling practice sucks, but it seems to be very common for magnesium supplements for some reason or other.

It's misleading when you're trying to price the best deal. I always mistakenly assume that one pill will give me my day's worth of whatever I need. I love having everyone's input on MC friendly supplements and your wealth of knowledge about what type take. I find doctors to be unreliable when it comes to supplements. When I needed to find an iron pill I was told to just pick one off the shelf. To my surprise, there was all sorts and I ended up walking away empty-handed until I did some looking here.

There's always something new to learn- and well worth it!
