Post by tex »

This is an excellent source of information on virtually all vitamins and supplements. Thanks to PhoenixRising for providing an updated link.

Tex, when I click on that link, I get a Not Found error message. Is the information only available during certain hours? My browser is Chrome. Thanks for posting it.

Hi Brenda,

That post was made almost 9 years ago, and as so often happens on the Internet, the web page in that link is no longer available. I've searched, and I can't find a decent replacement, unfortunately. When I do a search, most of the sites that come up are associated with the National Institutes of Health, and some of their advice is so out-of-touch with reality that I hesitate to endorse it. Their recommendations on vitamin D, for example, are totally unrealistic. They make me wonder if the vitamin D guidelines are designed to guarantee physician job security and hospital income, rather than to enhance the health of the general public.

If anyone is aware of a site that offers good, up-to-date information on vitamins and minerals, I would love to hear about it.

Brenda
great news that the bone broth is working well

I have found that iHerb is one of the best websites to see the active and inactive ingredients of vitamins and supplements.

if you can purchase them elsewhere cheaper go for it, but as a resource to confirm inactive ingredients etc it is the best I have seen.

Hi Tex,
Just lurking around here, and thought I'd see if I could find the information within the original site you posted the link to. Does this look like it could be the updated link to that info?

I got sidetracked and forgot to look for it, to be honest. Shame on me. Yes, as best I can recall, that's exactly the type of information that the original page offered. Good work!

I suppose I should update the link in my original post to point to that page, just in case someone who needs the information doesn't read this entire thread.

Many thanks.

Tex, I understand the meaning of the word sidetracked more completely than I would like to admit! No shame in it though - you're a very busy person! Glad I could help.
