Physiotheraphy

Post by Liz »

Have had one session with the physiotheraphist & am to go back again on Friday just before I see the doc again. Fortunately he is right next door to my doc's surgery. He treated my knee, with massage, electro massage machine & acupuncture. Had xrays of knee & foot on Monday. Doc wants to see what is happening with the arthritis in any case. Pick up my xrays on Thursday when I go for the bone density test.

Love

Hi Liz,

Hoping everything will be fine with the x-rays. I have osteoporosis myself, and am having a time as I can't just get out and walk without someone here with Mom.

You would think that I get enough weight lifting just tugging and lifting on Mom, but I don't think that's the right kind. Really have no excuse because there are plenty of heavy books around here that I could use for weights once I worked up to it. I'm forgetful to take calcium/magnesium, Vitamin D, etc. sometimes -- important as I can't have any dairy. At least I've finally started to drink a gf brand or two of rice milk which is, thankfully fortified with calcium and other stuff. I also have some Vit D pills that I can take. We have too many days when we don't get outdoors which is a shame considering that this has been such a spring-like January and first of Feb. Tonight, it's going back to near freezing, so roses should be plenty confused by then. It's especially important to take Vit. D is one can't get outside often enough. Since vit D is fat soluble, before my gut started to heal, lots of fat ended up in the commode.

Wow, I'm so sleepy all of a sudden, that I'm not sure I said what I'd intended to say.

Talk to ya later.
Yours, Luce
