A little advice please

Post by jlbattin »

Ok, I've been doing really well..........until last week............we had one really windy day and it stirred up lots of crap in the air and I've had allergies all of my life so...................anyway, I woke up the next morning feeling a little stuffy.........fast forward about 3 days and it hasn't gotten any better (and my ears are really stuffy and this is quite unusual for me)...............

This is what I've done.........

Rinsed nostrils with Simply Saline......
Put hydrogen peroxide in my ears
Taken Mucinex
Upped my vitamin D3 and magnesium
Taken Benadryl at night
Taken Allegra during the day

I'm really hoping it's not a sinus infection, and I think I could live with the nose part, but my ears are stuffy (and I don't normally get the ear part ever so this is kind of new for me)...........I don't want it to turn out to be something I have to take an antibiotic for........

Gotta love MC..........

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.
Jari

Hi Jari,

I know its been a couple days since you posted this...how are you doing today?

I had this hit me with a huge wind that roared through South Eastern Washington about a week ago....I think I rode it out getting proper rest, only eating safe foods so as to not aggravate the response going on in my head, along with more external magnesium, drinking lots of fluids to help flush anything out, and laying low without over doing it.

I'm doing better, still feel like I have some histamine issues, but this month is coming in like a Lion, there's nothing I can do about it.

Feel better soon,
Erica

hi Jari
sorry for tardy reply, I had no internet for a few days and Car Showing season has started so it was a big weekend (cruising around in a 57 Chev Belair!)

Sadly it is the reminder that despite sticking with our strict eating plan, external triggers will still cause us issues

i think it is more likely to inflammation reaction causing extra mucus. (due to dust/pollen etc) and maybe you are fighting some cold/virus germs.
times like this I always resort to really bland eating, get extra rest and drink more water to clear the toxins...

hope things have improved

Thanks Erica and Gabes,

I wish I could say that today was better, but it's really not. I've had plugged ears for about 4 days now, and that's not something I've ever experienced a lot in my life so I'm finding it very frustrating. I do think they might be better, but still hard to hear and sounds like ocean waves in there! I've tried all the exercises I found online and have used my essential oils. I just really don't want to go to the doctor if I don't have to. If the ears would unclog, I could live with the rest. I have a little congestion and a nasty chest cough, but nothing I can't handle!

I really feel like it's sinuses and not a cold (it doesn't act anything like any cold I've ever had before), but I could be wrong......it could be some viral thing.......I have heard a lot of people complaining about stuffy ears (could be something I picked up).

MC just complicates everything; doesn't it? I'm not really complaining, much, anyway! :) I'm so much better than early on..............I'll give it a few more days and see what happens.......

I have done the bland diet, lots of rest, etc.

Thanks.
Jari
