Gluetin free Spread

Post by annie oakley »

I was at the grocery getting milk and eggs and saw a butter spread that Paul harvey backs, it's called Smart Balance. On the side it said Gluetin free. I am going to try it as soon as I run out of my butter. Have any of you tried it? Love Oma

I know my parents use it and like it! To me it isnt the same as butter, but if I turn out to have the milk/casien intollerance then I guess I cant have the butter...right?
Dr Fine test shows positive for gluten and casien but negative for soy, eggs, and yeast
Maybe its UC maybe its MC? Who knows at this point, but at least I know my intollerances now... so heres to the road to healing!

Yep, tried it and continue to use it since starting my diet. It isn't too bad! I'm not much of a butter person either but it is all we use now.

I use Smart Balance and now I've got my kids using it too. Good for eating, good for cooking.

It must just be me: I thought it was passable for spreading on crackers, or anything that you eat cold, but melted it was icky. And since I don't eat bread or anything cold & buttered. . . But that's just me, and it sounds like I'm in the minority!

See ya, Marsha
