I need to kick my butt!
Today has not been a stellar day. Way too much time in the closet....water closet, that is. My fault. In denial. Seems sugar really sets me off, among a million other foods. Need to look at my eating plan specifically for Microscopic Colitis and reboot. I kind of had a meltdown tonight but felt better after a talk with a very good friend who has RA. Also my cuddlier of my two kitties who just knew mommy needed some extra lovins and was there with purrs and rubs. Thinking of doing white rice and meat or fish only. Maybe an egg or two for breakfast and coffee...which seems to be safe so far. UGH!
Everyone poops.......

Dont be toooo hard on yourself... adjusting to the strict minimal ingredients plan is tough.. it takes time.
and each person has different things that are their main triggers - for me, I react worse to soy than gluten. It took me months to eradicate every bit of soy out of my kitchen, bathroom, etc.
when things are flaring badly I always revert back to 'gooey rice' and well cooked protein
I cook the rice in home made bone broth, well cooked, do not strain or rinse. The liquid has lots of gut healing goodness...
day at a time... you have your puss cats, and the group here who have all experienced the same journey

I found this read to be quite interesting this morning....it may even propose a thing or two not thought about.
also http://www.microscopiccolitisfoundation ... 120615.pdf this is from the Website Tex and others have put together. It is a great quick sheet for getting back on track.
I think I have reacted to some things that I felt have been safe but I'm coming to the conclusion that I have some pretty HIGH histamine right now, so am working on that aspect of myself. Because yes..I'd like to kick my butt, but it's not going to do any good, LOL, my body is throwing a fit and my brain is lost trying to figure out where to begin in calming it down.
So bit by bit we'll get there....baby steps

I saw this topic, 'I need to kick my butt.' So I clicked into the last comment which was Gabes saying, 'I fry mine with coconut oil and salt.'
Gave me a good laugh.
Sorry...just my sense of humour lol
Joking aside...
Don't be hard on yourself. I am still working out my triggers but I know that sugar is definitely one of mine as well. But still I ate sugar today. But yesterday I didn't and tomorrow I am not going to! What do they say...'Rome wasn't built in a day.' But it was built! All the best Sandi xx
