it is way way cooler, in its full presentation
It is me in the drivers seat of a restored (modified) 1957 Chevrolet BelAir Sport Coupe (owned by my Brother) it has become 'Gabes Chev' for the car show events that we attend.

In Australia, owning and showing classic cars is not redneck (feral/bogan)- Alot of upper working class, lower and upper middle class etc will own the cars and take them to the shows . ( my brother has 2 x 1937, 1x 1955, 2 x 1956, 2 x 1957 Chevrolets)
My brother is part of a car and dance club called 'All Shook Up' and they are asked to provide dance demonstrations etc at alot of these car show type events. it is a good bunch of people. All the ladies wear 1950's attire including petticoats etc there is a combo of mustangs, chevys in the group
I love these events, there is no focus on food or alcohol. I can take my own Gabe safe food, enjoy a day out that costs me nothing ( other than an early morning start to put my hair in to 50's glamour mode!)and I enjoy taking photos of the dance action

the cars on display

as it is an american model, it is Left Hand Drive - which takes a bit of adjusting for the Right Hand Drive roads in Aus!!
