BM issue-yellow piles
I've been reading Polly's posts on BAM, but I'm wondering if I have a problem just every so often is it possible that I have eaten too much olive oil? It doesn't happen often so I wouldn't want to take meds, but is there any other preventative measure?
I had a particularly bad experience after eating sweet potato chips over 4 days. On the 4th day I began to have cramping so I stopped eating the chips and 4 days later the bad Yellow D with terrible dizziness and nausea.

It's definitely possible for too much oil to cause D. Just 3 or 4 capsules of fish oil can cause D for some people, for example.
I find that I have to limit the amount of potato chips I eat because the oil causes cramping and other digestive issues if I eat too much of them.

I have no idea. I eat a lot of bacon grease every morning (4 thick slices of bacon plus a couple of eggs and a couple of corn tortillas fried in the grease), plus a fish oil capsule and a flax seed oil capsule. But if I try to eat potato chips or Fritos, the oil seems to bother me. Apparently the type of oil matters, and bacon grease seems to work very well for me. I also seem to tolerate coconut oil well for frying.
For quite a few years now, the only fruit I eat is bananas and the only vegetable I ever eat is potatoes.

I'm finally realizing that oils really do matter. Trying to sift through it myself. Fritoes are a no for me-think it's corn oil. I eat chips but have to limit them. I just bought Boulder Canyon potato chips in Coconut Oil. Ingredients:Potatoes, Coconut Oil, Sea Salt. Thumbs up on this one. Olive oil seems ok as long as it's pure. It's so hard because if I find something that seems good, I want to eat too much of it!!
