Don't worry, that's the way the PM system works. In fact, as long as a PM is still in your outbox, you can edit it, and even delete it, if you so desire. When Polly logs on again, (or checks her email, if she has the email alert activated for PMs), she will see the PM notice, and when she opens it, it will disappear from your outbox.
